The President of the Employers’ Association BDA, Rainer Dulger, praised the reforms announced by Health Minister Nina Warken (CDU) aimed at improving the financial status of statutory health insurance funds. Speaking to “T-Online” on Tuesday, Dulger stated that it is a positive sign that Federal Health Minister Nina Warken intends to implement most of the proposals put forward by the Health Finance Commission. He emphasized that addressing the rapidly rising costs of the health insurance funds is crucial, as this is the only way to prevent further increases in contribution rates. Dulger added that it is encouraging that the federal government wishes to move quickly on this issue. Furthermore, he stressed the necessity of fully realizing the stated savings potential of the reform package, estimated at 20 billion euros, adding that such measures could even lead to a reduction in the health insurance contributions.
