German Arrest in Russia Amid Terror Allegations Linked to Ukrainian Intelligence

A German citizen was detained in the Russian region of Stavropol. According to the Russian news agency Interfax on Monday, the Federal Security Service (FSB) accuses her of being involved in preparing a terrorist attack against a law enforcement facility, allegedly acting on behalf of Ukrainian intelligence services. Furthermore, authorities reported that a bomb was discovered in the backpack of the woman, who was born in 1969. Another individual from Central Asia was also arrested, accused of being the person who was supposed to detonate the explosive device. Russian authorities added that the two detainees have since given confessions; however, no further details were initially available.
