Merz Promotes Germany as Stable Investment Hub Amid Global Challenges

During the Investment Summit in Berlin on Monday evening, Friedrich Merz (CDU) actively campaigned for foreign investments in Germany, declaring that the country is “open for business and partnerships” and welcoming international companies and investment. Merz added that Germany does not subscribe to “zero-sum thinking,” but rather places its faith in multilateralism, open markets, and international trade. The Chancellor underlined that Germany continues to be a stable and reliable partner.

Merz also highlighted the serious challenges facing the nation and the world. He emphasized that mastering the coming economic and technological transformations will necessitate close cooperation between like-minded partners. He noted that Germany is currently experiencing a “wave of modernization” that demands increased investment in infrastructure, green energy, and defense capabilities.
