During a dispute concerning the US-Israel-Iran conflict, Donald Trump strongly criticized German CDU leader Friedrich Merz. Using his personal platform on Tuesday, Trump accused Merz of suggesting that it would be acceptable for Iran to possess an atomic weapon, stating that Merz “has no idea what he’s talking about”. Trump elaborated that should Iran acquire a nuclear weapon, the entire world would be vulnerable to its control. Furthermore, he asserted that his current involvement concerning Iran was a necessary action that other nations or presidents should have taken years ago.
Trump also commented that Germany’s current struggles, both economically and in other aspects, were unsurprising. This critique followed Merz’s earlier criticism on Monday regarding the US war and negotiation strategy.
