Donald Trump announced that starting next week, he will raise the tariffs on imported cars and trucks from the European Union to 25 percent. Posting on his personal platform on Friday, Trump stated that this action is due to the European Union’s alleged failure to adhere to a trade agreement that was fully agreed upon.
The former president also pointed out that vehicles manufactured within the United States should not be subject to these duties. He added that significant investments are currently being made to establish new production sites in the US, according to his announcement.
