Following the meeting of the Coalition Committee, Dirk Wiese, Director of Parliamentary Affairs for the SPD, stated that the alliance between the Union and the SPD is back on track. Speaking to the “Rheinische Post” Wiese asserted that the coalition has regained momentum. He stressed that it is crucial for all parties to maintain this newly rediscovered working routine and deliver politically before the summer break. The SPD politician emphasized the significant importance of the Committee meeting, noting that the session allowed them to develop paths toward urgent, nationwide solutions through cooperative and trusting effort. Specifically, Wiese reported that the meeting established timelines for key modernization projects and agreed to initiate a dialogue with social partners to ensure broad support for the planned reforms.
