Enpal Doubles Training Capacity to Combat Skill Shortage and Boost Renewable Energy Expertise

Solar company Enpal announced that it plans to open its training center for external trades businesses while simultaneously expanding its international skilled worker program. The company stated to the press that this initiative aims to significantly contribute to combating the skilled labor shortage in Germany.

Since its founding in 2021, the “Enpal Academy” has reportedly qualified over 4,000 specialists and support staff in photovoltaic and heat pump systems. With new programs and infrastructure expansion, Enpal plans to double the monthly capacity of its training center located in Dahlewitz, Brandenburg. During the current year alone, this expansion is expected to qualify approximately 500 electricians for the German job market, positioning Enpal’s facility as the largest training center for decentralized energy solutions in Europe.

For the first time, the training offering will also be directed at external trades businesses. This measure is intended to support the entire industry in quickly boosting installation capacity and establishing uniform quality and safety standards.

Furthermore, Enpal is significantly expanding its international skilled worker program for electricians. Through official cooperation agreements with foreign governments, including those in Colombia and Brazil, qualified workers can enter Germany via simplified procedures. According to the company, interest in this program is extremely high, with several thousands of applications already received from both countries.
