FDP Stays Static at 3% After Kubicki Election, Misses Bundestag Entry in ZDF Poll

Despite Wolfgang Kubicki’s election as the new leader of the FDP, the ZDF Political Barometer shows no change for the party, unlike other surveys. According to figures published Friday morning, the Liberals remain unchanged from the survey two weeks ago, polling at three percent and thus falling short of entering the Bundestag. Meanwhile, both the CDU/CSU and the AfD managed to gain one percentage point, rising to 25 and 27 percent, respectively. The SPD remains steady at 12 percent, while the Greens lost one point, dropping to 14 percent. The Left Party also lost a point, standing at 11 percent. All other parties collectively remain unchanged at 8 percent. The survey was conducted by the “Forschungsgruppe Wahlen” from Monday to Wednesday of this week.
