US Wins 2-0 Against Bosnia-Herzegovina, Nailing Spot In World Cup Knockout Stage

The United States secured a 2-0 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Round of 16 of the World Cup.

The US opened the scoring in the first half through Folarin Balogun. Responding quickly to a deflected through ball, Balogun struck the ball powerfully from 14 meters, beating Bosnian goalkeeper Vasilj. Despite Balogun receiving a red card in the second half-handed out following a VAR check for a heavy challenge on Muharemovic-the Americans were able to hold onto their lead and extend their advantage.

In the 82nd minute, Malik Tillman made the score 2-0. Following a foul by Radeljic on American player Dest, the US earned a dangerous free kick. Tillman deftly curled the ball over the wall into the near post. Although Vasilj was able to touch the ball, he could not make a decisive save, assisted by a poorly positioned Bosnian defensive wall.

The Bosnians made efforts in the closing stages to draw level, but the American defense remained resolute. The United States played efficiently and methodically slowed the game down to secure their comprehensive win. With this success, all three host nations have now advanced to the next stage of the tournament.
