A person was killed during a shooting incident in northern Denmark on Friday, while a police officer was also injured. The shooter sustained serious injuries.
Police were originally dispatched to Nörresundby in the afternoon to respond to a fire in an industrial area. Upon arrival, the officers were shot at and returned fire. During the confrontation, they managed to hit the suspect, who was subsequently transported to the hospital with severe injuries. His motivation at the time remained unclear.
Both a civilian and a police officer were struck by gunfire. The civilian died, while the injured police officer is reported to be in stable condition. Authorities have not released further details, and the investigation is ongoing.
