According to the Social Democrat, the details discussed during these meetings remained confidential among those involved, and this secrecy laid the foundation for their frank discussions. “That is worth a great deal in political Berlin, and I will miss that,” he added.
Miersch expressed his expectation for a trusting working relationship with Spahn’s successor. He emphasized the importance of maintaining constructive and confident cooperation.
