A small airplane crashed into the roof of a residential building in Ganderkesee, located between Oldenburg and Bremen, on Saturday morning. Police in Delmenhorst reported that the pilot died in the accident. Efforts are currently underway to locate another passenger who was aboard the aircraft.
The plane impacted the house’s roof structure just after 11 a.m. Rescue teams responded to the scene in force to secure the area and conduct a search for the missing individual. To date, there have been no reports of other injuries.
The family residing in the affected home was likely not at the house when the incident occurred. The cause of the crash remains unknown as investigations continue.
