Suspected CSD Attacker Killed in Fatal Police Encounter After Berlin Assault

Berlin police have confirmed the death of the suspected attacker in the incident at the Berlin CSD. According to findings released Sunday evening, the man allegedly charged security personnel with a knife, prompting a response from the Berlin SWAT team (SEK Berlin) using firearms. Despite immediate resuscitation efforts by the Berlin Fire Department, the suspect died at the scene in an allotment garden in Spandau. Earlier reports indicated that the alleged owner of the vehicle had also died. The attack took place on Saturday around 10 PM when Abdul B. reportedly drove a small van aggressively through the Berlin Tiergarten, where CSD attendees were celebrating. Latest information confirms that a total of 29 people were injured in the assault, and one woman was killed.
