North Korean Missiles Feature in Deadly Russian Attack on Zaporizhzhia; Ukraine Hit Across Multiple Regions

According to Ukrainian authorities, six people were killed and nineteen were injured in a Russian attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr stated on Tuesday that the city was targeted using North Korean ballistic missiles, Zircon missiles, and guided air bombs. Rescue crews were still working that morning to extinguish a fire at one of the impact sites.

Meanwhile, in Kyiv, Zelensky reported that a missile strike damaged a hospital for infectious diseases and several shops. Furthermore, substations in Kherson and Kharkiv were hit overnight, causing power outages throughout the regions. The President noted that all services were working to restore the electricity supply. The regions of Donetsk, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv were also attacked. In addition to missiles, over 120 drones were reportedly used against Ukraine, most of them being rocket-propelled “Shahed” drones.
