Bayer Leverkusen Loans Alfa-Ruprecht to Hertha BSC for Development Push

Bayer 04 Leverkusen has announced that Farid Alfa-Ruprecht will be moving to Hertha BSC, a second-division club. The Bundesliga side confirmed on Thursday that the winger is being transferred to the Berlin-based club on a one-year loan deal.

Alfa-Ruprecht had previously been loaned to VfL Bochum last season. His contract with Leverkusen is valid until June 30, 2030.

“Farid has developed well during his time at Bochum. We want to foster his football progress by giving him another season and many appearances at a challenging level,” stated Leverkusen director of football, Kim Falkenberg.

The 20-year-old wide player indicated that the move to Hertha is aimed at improving his long-term chances at Bayer 04. “That is my goal. To wear the badge in the Bundesliga and in European competitions in the future is a huge dream that I would like to fulfill,” he commented.
