The German government is intensifying its efforts to promote Germany as a prime location, planning to set up a dedicated German House at the World Economic Forum in Davos this coming January. A spokesperson for Digital Minister Karsten Wildberger confirmed this plan, which he is driving forward alongside Economics Minister Katherina Reiche (both members of the CDU).
According to the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung”, the lease agreement for the building has been signed. The house is situated on the promenade, located immediately close to the Congress Center where the official sessions of the Forum take place.
Representatives from the Digital Ministry told the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung” that this German hub will consolidate Germany’s presence and present the country to international decision-makers as a robust technology and economic hub, a highly attractive investment destination, and a trusted partner. Other government ministries are also invited to participate in the initiative. The house will be utilized for a variety of activities, including public discussions, confidential bilateral talks, and finalizing agreements regarding new partnerships and investments.
