German automaker Audi and Chinese tech giant Huawei are reportedly considering a collaboration for their luxury models. According to reports, Audi is exploring the use of Huawei’s architecture, notably for its flagship A8 sedan. Several insiders told the magazine that other top-segment Audi models may also utilize the Chinese company’s platform. Although a cooperation is being discussed, no final decision has been made, and the partnership is initially expected to be restricted to the Chinese market. This potential alliance comes amidst significant controversy surrounding the Chinese corporation in Western nations. Specifically, there are concerns that Huawei’s radio network technology could provide a backdoor for espionage, leading to its hardware being largely banned in the United States.
