Hannover 96 Sacking Sport Director Jonas Boldt Amid Ongoing Club Crisis

Jonas Boldt must now leave Hannover 96 amid the ongoing crisis facing the second-division football club. On Saturday, Niedersachsen announced that the supervisory board responsible for appointing the management of Hannover 96 GmbH unanimously agreed to his dismissal. The decision is effective immediately. Consequently, Henning Bindzus is now the sole managing director of Hannover 96 GmbH & Co. KGaA.

Boldt had only taken the position in June. The club had narrowly failed to secure promotion last season, and during the current season, they have remained stuck near the bottom of the table. The change in coaching from Christian Titz to Sandro Wagner in September initially did not bring any improvement. After losing to 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the cup on Wednesday, Boldt ruled out yet another coaching change. Now, he himself must step down.
