Lando Norris of McLaren clinched the Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo. The driver crossed the finish line on Sunday ahead of two Red Bull racers, Max Verstappen and Isaac Hadjar. Completing the top five were George Russell and world champion Kimi Antonelli, who secured fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
The race began in wet conditions, forcing teams to start on intermediate tires. Initially, Kimi Antonelli took the lead, but Norris demonstrated perfect preparation. Despite a suboptimal start, he quickly battled back, eventually taking the lead as Antonelli encountered performance issues. The continuously changing weather conditions resulted in numerous pit stops and strategic calls, which kept the race highly unpredictable.
Several drivers, including Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, were forced to start from the back of the grid due to engine penalties. Verstappen launched a remarkable comeback, managing to climb all the way to second place. Hamilton, on the other hand, struggled throughout the event and finished in ninth place. Nico Hülkenberg, driving for Audi, managed to secure the final point on tenth place after serving a penalty.
The event was defined by aggressive overtaking and high levels of strategic cunning. A particularly intense battle unfolded between Liam Lawson of the Racing Bulls and Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, providing several high-stakes moments throughout the race. Ultimately, it was Norris who maintained his composure throughout the proceedings to drive home a well-earned victory.
