The Alternative for Germany (AfD) remains the strongest force in the public opinion across the country. According to the weekly Sunday trend gathered by the opinion research institute Insa for “Bild am Sonntag”, the AfD holds steady at 29 percent.
Following behind the AfD is the CDU/CSU, which remained unchanged from the previous week with 20 percent, while the Greens sit at 14 percent. The Social Democrats (SPD) also maintained their standing at 13 percent.
In terms of movement, the Left Party managed to increase its support by one percentage point, now at 11 percent. Similarly, the FDP gained one percentage point, reaching 5 percent. The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) registered 3 percent. Other parties combined saw a slight decline of two percentage points, settling at 5 percent.
For this survey, Insa polled 1,202 individuals between September 14 and September 18, 2026. The question posed to the respondents was: “If a federal election were next Sunday, how would you vote?”
