According to the latest “Sunday Trend” survey conducted by the Insa polling institute, the AfD remains the strongest political force in Germany. The party currently holds a stable 28% support share, significantly surpassing the Union, which recorded 21%.
Taking third place are the Greens, who gathered 13% of support. However, this represents a one-percentage-point decrease compared to the previous week. The BSW also saw a decline, losing a percentage point and falling to just three percent, well below the five-percent legislative threshold.
The remaining parties maintained their values from last week. The SPD reached 12%, while Die Linke received 11%. The Free Democratic Party (FDP) would once again narrowly make it into the Bundestag with 5%.
In conducting the “Sunday Trend,” the Insa research institute polled 1,205 individuals between August 3 and August 7, 2026.
