FC Bayern Munich secured a 2-0 victory against Atletico Madrid during the fourth matchday of the Champions League league phase. Although the guests took control of the game from the outset, they initially struggled against the tightly organized Spanish defense. Despite several promising chances on both sides, the first half ended scoreless. After the break, Bayern increased the pressure. In the 54th minute, they were rewarded when Lennart Karl capitalized on an error in the Atletico defense to put the visitors ahead. Twenty minutes later, Konrad Laimer doubled the lead to 2-0 in the 74th minute, following an assist from Harry Kane. Atletico found almost no way to challenge the confidently defending Munich side. Bayern conceded very little and thus secured a well-deserved away win.
