The Left, the Greens, and the SPD in Berlin have agreed to enter into exploratory talks, as reported consistently by several media outlets on Thursday. Prior to this agreement, the parties held three meetings specifically to discuss how the Left Party addresses antisemitism and the perceived closeness of certain members to clan members.
In the election for the Berlin House of Representatives, the Left emerged as the strongest force, securing 25.7 percent of the vote. The other parties achieved the following results: the CDU, which was previously in government, received 18.8 percent; the AfD garnered 16.3 percent; the Greens secured 14.3 percent; and the SPD obtained 12.1 percent. The BSW finished with 4.7 percent, and the FDP placed last with 2.5 percent.
