On the third anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel, Palestinians demonstrated in Berlin, aiming to commemorate not only the victims of the initial attack but also those who died in the subsequent military strikes. In the afternoon, around 200 demonstrators gathered near “Checkpoint Charlie,” chanting customary slogans. Some veiled women carried props marked with red paint, intended to symbolize deceased children.
In addition to the demonstration at Checkpoint Charlie, several pro-Palestine rallies took place across Berlin on Wednesday. Meanwhile, in acts of solidarity with Israel, the Brandenburg Gate was scheduled to be illuminated in the colors of the Israeli national flag that evening. Police maintained a high level of presence at all relevant locations throughout Berlin.
