Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU) stated that following the recent riots and disturbances at public rallies, law enforcement will henceforth specifically monitor and focus on demonstrators identified as having far-left ormigrant backgrounds. Speaking to the “Bild-Zeitung” (Tuesday edition), Dobrindt announced that upcoming demonstrations will be accompanied by a mass police presence of comparable scale, and the perpetrators in the suspect groups will be deliberately monitored during these events.
The interior minister reiterated his classification, asserting that the alleged perpetrators from the past weekend primarily originated from the left-wing spectrum and were from circles of people with a migration background.
In referring to the events of the previous weekend, the CSU politician also emphasized that “the police operational plan was fully successful.”
