Eintracht Frankfurt has announced the immediate dismissal of its coaching staff on Sunday. The club has parted ways with head coach Albert Riera, along with the co-trainers Pablo Remon Arteta and Lorenzo Dolcetti. These coaches had taken over the team’s responsibilities earlier this year, in February.
Under Riera’s leadership, the squad compiled a record of four wins, five draws, and five losses during the 2025/26 Bundesliga season, ultimately finishing in eighth place. Club Sporting Director Markus Kroesche stated that the decision to end the cooperation was reached “jointly” following extensive discussions. Kroesche praised Riera for taking charge during a difficult period, noting his “great diligence” and “high commitment” to the club.
For his part, Riera acknowledged that he accepts full responsibility for the team’s sporting results. He stated that his primary goal had been to improve the team and achieve success. Riera expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be part of Eintracht Frankfurt’s history and offered the club his best wishes for its future.
