Konstantin von Notz, the Green Party’s deputy parliamentary group chairman, has demanded greater determination in the fight against anti-Semitism. Speaking to the “Rheinische Post”, he stated that the increasing assaults and hatred directed at Jewish people and Jewish life in Germany are “absolutely unacceptable and disgusting”. His statement was in response to a recent survey conducted by the Central Council of Jews, which found that over two-thirds of Jewish communities in Germany perceive their current situation as unsafe since the Hamas attack on Israel.
According to Notz, German society has a fundamental duty to confront anti-Jewish hatred wherever and whenever it appears, using all legally available means. The Green politician strongly criticized those who suggest that the actions of the Netanyahu government rationalize or excuse the hate and attacks against Jewish people, labeling such views as a deeply misguided path and a form of documented open hostility toward humanity.
