“Gut Genug” Breaks Streaming Records as Shirin David Extends German Chart Dominance

Kitschkrieg, Blumengarten, and Shirin David currently headline the official German single charts with their viral song, “Gut genug,” according to data released by GfK on Friday. This track is setting a new annual benchmark, registering as the most-streamed song within a single week of 2026. Shirin David’s success is particularly notable, as she achieved her eighth Number 1 hit, further cementing her record as the female artist with the most top-charting singles.

In other noteworthy chart movements, the global anthem, “Dai Dai” from Shakira and Burna Boy, improved significantly, rising from eleventh to second place. Olivia Rodrigo also featured twice in the Top 10 with “Stupid Song” (at number six) and “Drop Dead” (at number ten).

The charts saw strong showings in the album category. A singer secured her second Number 1 album with “You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love,” following the success of her 2023 release, “Guts.” Other high-ranking albums were occupied by the band Toten Hosen, which charted twice with “Trink aus, wir müssen gehen,” and the Canadian duo Angine de Poitrine, with “Vol. II” landing at number three and its predecessor, “Vol. 1,” at number four. Sportfreunde Stiller charted at number six with “Happy Birthday,” positioned just behind Helene Fischer’s “Best Of Helene Fischer” at number five.

These official German charts are determined by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Federal Association of the Music Industry, accounting for 90 percent of all music sales.
