The road is now clear for Jürgen Klopp to take over as the coach of the German national football team. According to concurrent reports from Sky Sport and Bild, an agreement has been reached between the German Football Association (DFB) and Klopp, as well as between the coach and his current employer, Red Bull, where he was most recently serving as Head of Global Soccer.
It is anticipated that he will sign a contract valid until at least 2030 this coming Friday, followed by an official introduction. If this happens, he would be the expected successor to Julian Nagelsmann, whose time in charge concluded prematurely following Germany’s disappointing exit from the World Cup, eliminated in the round of 16 against Paraguay.
Klopp has a rich history of success as a club manager. After bringing 1. FSV Mainz 05 into the Bundesliga, he achieved two German championships with Borussia Dortmund. With FC Liverpool, he successfully secured both the league title and the Champions League.
