Linke’s Victory in Berlin: Promising Sweeping Changes for Capital’s Future

Based on initial forecasts for the Berlin State Parliament election, Linke candidate Elif Eralp has announced changes for the capital. Speaking at her party’s election party on Sunday, she stated that starting today, they will collectively transform Berlin into a better place, adding that “love and justice have prevailed over hate in our city.”

According to forecasts from ARD and ZDF, Eralp’s party is projected to average 25.3 percent, surpassing the currently ruling CDU, which sits at 20.0 percent. The Greens are expected to take third place with 15.3 percent, ahead of the AfD (14.8 percent), the SPD (12.0 percent), and the BSW (5 percent). The combined total for “Others,” which includes the FDP, stands at an average of 7.8 percent.
