Monument or Military Fortress? Trump Plans High-Tech Arch for Washington D.C.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Sunday via his social media platform Truth Social that his planned massive “Triumphal Arch” would function not only as a monument but also as a highly advanced military complex. According to Trump, the facility would be equipped with sniper stations and drone storage.

Construction on the arch, which is planned to be approximately 76 meters high, is scheduled to begin this month, commencing with excavations on the side of the Potomac River opposite Washington, D.C., near Arlington National Cemetery. The monument itself is slated to be clad in granite, crowned with three golden statues, and feature an observation deck.

Trump further stated that the arch would hold significant amounts of drone weaponry and sniper ammunition, allowing for rapid deployment. He asserted that there is no similar setup anywhere in the world. The development of this arch is presented as part of the President’s broader initiative to leave a lasting architectural mark on the nation’s capital.
