Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is scheduled to visit Berlin on Tuesday. Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) announced this in the morning during a speech at the IHK Berlin. Part of his itinerary includes a meeting with the Chancellor. Although Zelenskyy’s visit has not been officially announced, his appearance is not unexpected. For example, a “special guest” was mentioned for a high-profile security conference taking place in the capital. Furthermore, security arrangements in the Berlin government district are unusually high for Tuesday.
