The Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) has issued warnings about thunderstorms that could be severe in multiple regions across Germany. Meteorologists announced on Friday from Offenbach that parts of the federal states of Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, Saxony, Baden-Württemberg, and Bavaria are expected to be affected. These thunderstorms pose a risk of flooding in basements and on roads. Additionally, hail could cause damages to buildings, automobiles, and agricultural crops. Local hazards may include lightning damage, uprooted trees, falling roof tiles, and other objects falling from above. The current warnings are valid for Friday between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, although the DWD states that the warnings could be extended or expanded to cover more areas.
