Stuttgart Signs Striker Pejcinovic from Wolfsburg, Securing Long-Term Bundesliga Boost

Stuttgart’s VfB has signed striker Dzenan Pejcinovic. The forward makes the move from VfL Wolfsburg to the Swabians, according to the Bundesliga club on Monday. Pejcinovic has signed a contract with VfB lasting until June 30, 2031.

Pejcinovic stated, “I already know several of my new teammates from the youth teams of the DFB, and I had very positive conversations with the management, which is why I didn’t have to think long when I heard about VfB’s interest.” He added, “Now I want to settle in as quickly as possible and contribute to a successful season for VfB.”

Fabian Wohlgemuth, the Sports Board member at VfB, commented: “We are convinced of his football abilities, and furthermore, our goal was to strengthen the squad further for the upcoming challenges in the Bundesliga, the Champions League, and the DFB Cup. Dzenan brings everything to be an immediate valuable option in the offense, while as a young player, he still has much development potential.”

The native Munich player played youth football for FC Bayern, FC Augsburg, and VfL Wolfsburg. He made his Bundesliga debut for the Niedersachsen side on May 27, 2023, at the age of 18 years and three months. Totaling 39 competitive professional matches for VfL Wolfsburg, he scored twelve goals and provided one assist. During the 2024/2025 season, he spent a year on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf, where he scored five goals across 19 2. Bundesliga appearances and one DFB Cup match.
