The circumstances surrounding the deadly shootings at a techno party in Aarau, Switzerland, remain unclear. At the rave event, which was the techno festival “Aarau Rave VOL. 7” held at the racecourse, one young woman was killed and five other people sustained injuries, some serious, during the night leading up to Sunday.
The Canton Police Aargau announced on Sunday evening that they currently do not know who is responsible for the incident or what the motive behind the act might be. Investigators are currently pursuing leads in all possible directions, including theories involving a possible terror attack or a lone rampage. The perpetrator is currently at large.
