According to US President Donald Trump, all mines in the international waters of the Strait of Hormuz have either been removed or rendered harmless. The President wrote on his platform, “Truth Social,” on Tuesday that he had been briefed on this by the Navy.
Trump further stated that Iran has been notified that any ship or boat detected laying new mines will be destroyed immediately and systematically. He added that they are monitoring every square centimeter of the strait using the Space Force, as well as ‘Pickaxe Mountain’ and three previously destroyed nuclear facilities. The US President emphasized that there is a “strict zero-tolerance policy” regarding the deployment of mines.
The US refers to “Pickaxe Mountain” as a mountain in Iran where a large nuclear complex is allegedly concealed.
