Nick Woltemade has been loaned from Newcastle United to Italian giants Juventus Turin. The top Italian club announced the transfer on Tuesday. The 24-year-old forward is searching for more playing time and opportunities for success, as he struggled to cement a permanent place at Newcastle despite having a promising start.
During the last season, Woltemade made 53 appearances for Newcastle, scoring eleven goals and providing six assists. However, under managers Eddie Howe and Matthias Jaissle, he was often used only as a substitute or deployed in various positions. His loan spell with Juventus will last until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti was looking to bolster the attack after Dusan Vlahovic and Jonathan David departed the club. Woltemade is expected to help strengthen the offense, playing alongside Randal Kolo Muani, who has returned to the team. Juventus has begun the season strongly, accumulating six points from two Serie A matches, and they will be participating in the Europa League this year.
