Reports from the Gaza Strip indicate a series of strikes on a hospital in southern Gaza have resulted in multiple fatalities, including journalists. Palestinian sources report more than a dozen people have been killed in the attacks on the Nasser Medical Complex.
According to CNN, citing hospital officials, those killed include a cameraman working for Al Jazeera, a media professional contracted by Reuters and a reporter who had been contributing to the Associated Press and other news organizations throughout the conflict. A freelance journalist was also among those reported dead.
The initial strike reportedly hit the fourth floor of the hospital early Monday morning, according to the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health. A second strike followed shortly after. As of this report, the Israel Defense Forces have not released a statement regarding the incident. The circumstances surrounding the strikes are currently under investigation and details remain unconfirmed.
