A regional court in Heidelberg has overturned stadium bans imposed on two player agents by TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in two expedited legal proceedings. The court announced its decision on Friday, stating that the requested preliminary injunctions were partially granted, while the bans concerning access to the training grounds remain in effect.
Roger W. and Dirk M. were initially issued with stadium bans in early August following allegations that they had insulted and threatened members of the TSG Hoffenheim management team. While the court’s 3rd Civil Chamber acknowledged the validity of these accusations, it determined that they did not constitute sufficient grounds for a stadium ban. The court reasoned that the alleged incidents occurred several months prior and were not made publicly.
The rulings are currently subject to appeal. Both parties have one month to lodge an appeal with the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe. The restrictions on access to the club’s private training facility remain in place, as no specific justification was required for those prohibitions.
