Appointment of the new head of DB Infrago, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, is facing potential complications, according to reports circulating within the corporation. The planned presentation, scheduled for this Monday, is now uncertain due to significant opposition from employee representatives.
Sources within Deutsche Bahn have indicated that securing the necessary two-thirds majority in the supervisory board is presently in question. An internal discussion among employee representatives is reportedly planned for this evening to address the controversy surrounding the proposed appointment.
Thomas Brandt, chairman of the DB Infrago works council, has publicly voiced his disapproval of the nomination, which was put forward by Transport Minister Patrick Schnieder. Brandt stated that the selection of Dirk Rompf is “an absolute no-go” from the perspective of those representing interests within Infrago. Concerns have been raised regarding Rompf’s performance during his previous tenure as board member at Netz AG.
