Kremlin Denies European Accusations of Poisoning in Alexei Navalny’s Death.

The Kremlin has dismissed the European statement concerning the death of Putin critic Alexei Navalny.
“We do not accept such allegations, we do not agree with them, we find them biased and baseless” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Monday, adding that the accusations were refuted decisively.

Earlier, Britain, France, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands issued a joint statement at the Munich Security Conference, asserting that tissue samples from Navalny’s corpse contained the toxin epibatidin. This highly toxic compound is found in South American arrow‑toad frogs. In the same context, German foreign minister Johann Wadephul (CDU) referred to the incident as a “state‑committed murder”.

Navalny died in February 2024 while incarcerated in a Russian penal colony.
