The 1. FC Magdeburg has been handed two partial spectator bans following the incidents at the match against Dynamo Dresden, one of which is suspended on probation. The club will pay a total fine of €186,600, as announced by the second‑division side on Tuesday.
During the game on 24 January 2026, fans in Magdeburg set off pyrotechnics, leading the sporting court to impose a €126,600 fine. The same verdict also covered clashes between club supporters and police forces, for which the club was ordered to pay an additional €60,000 and to issue partial exclusions.
The partial exclusion will take effect immediately in the 26th round, when Magdeburg host SV Darmstadt 98 on 13 March 2026. Consequently, sections 3 to 6 of the North Stand will be permanently closed for that match.
Although the FCM had not accepted the original disciplinary request from the DFB Control Committee, it has declined to appeal the sporting court’s judgment issued today. As a result, the ruling is now final and binding.
