Iran’s President Peseschkian Announces Pause of Cross‑Border Strikes While Upholding Resolve Against Israel and the U.S.

Iran’s president, Massud Peseschkian, announced on state television that Iran will limit any future attacks on neighboring countries. He said that no further assaults or rocket launches will be carried out unless an enemy nation first attacks Iran.
During the speech, Peseschkian apologized to the nations that have been targeted. It is estimated that 13 people have been killed in Iranian strikes on Gulf states since the conflict with Israel and the United States began, including an eleven‑year‑old girl in Kuwait.

When referring to Israel and the United States, Peseschkian adopted a combative tone, insisting that the “enemies must take their desire for the capitulation of the Iranian people to the grave”.

The president urged Gulf states not to become “the plaything of imperialism” and warned them against striking Iranian territory. Whether the new policy will take effect immediately remains unclear, as interception operations continued over the United Arab Emirates and sirens sounded in Bahrain after his address.
