The foreign ministers of the G7 countries reiterated their support for Middle‑East partner states amid the continued attacks by Iran. In a joint statement released on Monday, they condemned the reckless assaults on civilian populations and infrastructure-including energy facilities-in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Iraq.
The G7 called for an immediate halt to all Iranian attacks and highlighted the importance of securing maritime routes, particularly the Strait of Hormuz. They also emphasized their readiness to take necessary actions to safeguard global energy supplies, citing the International Energy Agency’s decision on March 11 to release strategic stockpiles.
Additionally, the ministers denounced Iran’s assaults in Iraq, which targeted diplomatic facilities and energy infrastructure. They reaffirmed support for the security and sovereignty of the affected states. The statement made no reference to attacks by the United States or Israel against Iran.
