German Prosecutors Indict German‑Polish Citizen for Terrorist Financing Over Darknet Hate Platform

The federal prosecutor’s office filed charges against a German‑Polish national on 20 March in front of the state‑security docket of the Düsseldorf higher regional court. According to the indictment, the suspect is accused of financing terrorism, providing instructions for the execution of a serious state‑threatening violent act, and distributing sensitive personal data for its propagation.

According to the indictment, the defendant has apparently been calling for attacks on named politicians, public officials and other public figures in Germany through the darknet since at least May 2025. He ran an anonymous platform in which he posted lists of names, “death sentences” he himself pronounced, and instructions for building explosive devices. The indictment also points to allegations that he solicited donations in cryptocurrency, which were to be used as a “bounty” for the killings of the targeted individuals. The platform further contained additional information with sensitive personal data of potential victims. By issuing these calls to action, the accused allegedly sought to undermine the free‑democratic constitutional order of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The suspect was detained on 10 November 2025 and has been in investigative custody ever since.
