Bayern Ends Champions League Dream After Stalemate Loss to PSG

FC Bayern Munich’s campaign in the Champions League came to an end following a 1-1 draw in the semifinal second leg against Paris Saint-Germain. Despite controlling more of the ball for long stretches, Bayern struggled repeatedly to overcome the solid defense put up by their French opponents.

PSG capitalized early when Ousmane Dembélé netted the opening goal in the third minute, assisted by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. This early breakthrough significantly increased the pressure on the Bayern side, who had needed at least two goals in the match to force extra time, given their 4-5 loss in the first half of the tie.

As the match progressed, Bayern enjoyed clear advantages in possession, yet concrete chances remained elusive. Several shooting attempts, including those from Jamal Musiala and Luis Díaz, failed to secure an equalizer, with Manuel Neuer making several key saves to keep his team in the contest. Near the end, Bayern managed to claw back a point when Harry Kane scored the 1-1 equalizer in the fourth minute of stoppage time. However, the remaining time proved insufficient for a comeback.

With the draw, Paris Saint-Germain secured their passage to the final, confirming Bayern Munich’s exit from the competition.
