A small aircraft crashed in Gaming on Sunday morning, resulting in two fatalities. According to police reports, the 47-year-old pilot and a passenger of the same age both died in the accident. Furthermore, two other individuals-a 15-year-old and a 41-year-old-were seriously injured and transported to hospitals.
The Piper aircraft went down around 11:00 a.m. in a heavily forested and remote area near the village of Neuhaus. The incident triggered a large-scale rescue operation involving fire department personnel, mountain rescue teams, police, and emergency services, including two helicopters. Communication on site proved challenging due to a complete lack of cell reception, meaning all coordination had to be conducted over radio.
The cause of the crash remains undetermined and is subject to investigation following the conclusion of the relief effort. The Federal Accident Investigation Authority is en route to the site to begin its inquiry. Currently, details regarding when or how the destroyed aircraft will be recovered are still unclear.
