According to a weekly survey conducted by Forsa for RTL and ntv, the Green Party continues its upward trend in polling favorability. In comparison to the previous week, they gained one percentage point, bringing their support to 16 percent.
Meanwhile, the AfD remains at the top with 26 percent, ahead of the Union (CDU/CSU) which holds 22 percent. The figures for the SPD, FDP, and Left Party remain constant at 12 percent, 4 percent, and 12 percent, respectively. The BSW (Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht) has dropped below the three-percent threshold and is no longer reported separately. The share of non-voters and undecided individuals stands at 26 percent, which is notably higher than the level recorded in the last federal election (17.9 percent).
Regarding political competence, the picture remains largely unchanged. Currently, 13 percent of respondents trust the Union the most to effectively address the country’s issues. The AfD holds this role for 11 percent of voters (a decrease of 1 percentage point), while the Greens are seen as competent by 7 percent of respondents. The SPD and the Left Party are each cited as competent by 6 percent of voters. However, 55 percent of participants now state they do not attribute political competence to any party (an increase of 1 percentage point).
The survey, which took place from July 7th to July 13th, 2026, included a total of 2,503 people.
