Julian Brandt, the long-serving attacking player from Borussia Dortmund, will soon be playing for Ajax Amsterdam. The offensive midfielder is moving to the Dutch side on a free transfer and has signed a three-year contract, which begins immediately and extends until June 30, 2029.
Brandt spent the last seven seasons at Borussia Dortmund. Before that, he played for Bayer Leverkusen for six years and has accumulated a total of 48 international appearances for Germany.
Ajax Sporting Director Jordi Cruijff expressed pleasure regarding the signing, noting that Brandt decided to join Ajax even when other offers were available. Cruijff added that Brandt is an internationally experienced player with an excellent mindset and is confident that the German forward will significantly enhance the team’s quality.
