The comparison portal Check24 has decided to discontinue its own brokering services for construction financing, the company confirmed to the Handelsblatt.
While the service is being pulled in-house, customers will still be able to proceed with financing through Check24. The portal announced that it will be collaborating with a partner for this function going forward, though the identity of this partner remains undisclosed. Check24 cited “economic and strategic factors” as the grounds for shutting down the division.
The company reported that it has already found resolutions for the affected employees. According to the firm, staff members involved in the restructuring have either received alternative job offers within Check24 or have been offered a settlement agreement and dismissal package at prevailing market rates. Company sources indicate that approximately 150 people are impacted by these changes.
